Catherine Hamilton received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Master of Fine Arts from Bennington College. She taught at the Rhode Island School of Design and exhibited paintings until 2004 when she developed severe allergies to chemicals used in academic studios. She currently makes ink drawings and works out of her studio in New York, NY.
